A Substernal Tunneller

Abstract
|

|
A new instrument, substernal tunneller, is described. The Current trend in selecting organs as a substitute and locations for esophageal replacement is briefly mentioned. The auther´s feeling is that the use of the instrument seems greatly simplifies and shortens the steps of making substernal or subcutaneous tunnels and the placing of the colon in proper position in the tunnel with less danger of jeopardizing the vascular pedicles.
The technique of using a sutsternal tuneller is described in details.
